1. Start a Chapter

Start making a difference in the world by taking a few easy steps to found a chapter of the Student Movement For Real Change on your college campus.  Our campus chapter of SMRC are also known as the Student Movement for International Relief (SMIR).  Once you sign up you will be contacted by a national member of SMRC and receive important information on how to get other students educated, empowered, and involved in the activities supported by SMRC.

2. Join

Want to become an individual member of the Student Movement For Real Change?  Sign up here if you want to join the SMRC without necessarily starting a new chapter.  You will receive weekly e-mail updates on the progress of the organization and have the opportunity to contribute to the future of not only SMRC, but also the people it helps.

3. Host an Event

Now that you are educated about the SRMC and other global issues host a local event to get others involved.  This resource provides ideas for local programs that you can hold to gauge interest in your community.  Please share your successes!  If you have any additional ideas which are not listed please e-mail us your suggestions. 

4. Joining Hands Pen-Pal Program

As a part of our improvement strategy, we understand the dire need to educate and encourage those who are the most impressionable. With our Joining Hands project, we seek to bring the kids of the U.S. in touch with the kids of other countries.  Through this pen pal program, American kids will get the opportunity to communicate with children they may have never known before.  This cross-cultural type dialogue will hopefully encourage American kids at an early age to get to know children from other countries and to see the importance in helping others.  Pro-active behavior starts young, and Joining Hands will create those important links in a chain of progress.

5 . Student Movment Operations Package

Our Operations Package contains useful information for bringing the Student Movement For Real Change to your college campus.  The packet contains information of how your chapter can utilize the resources of the national office, tips for establishing and running the group, useful suggestions for meetings, and a slew of other invaluable information.
